May 4, 2023 – TheNewswire – Lilium (NASDAQ: LILM), the developer of the first all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet, has reached a significant development milestone.

The company has begun wind tunnel testing on a complete 1 to 2.5 scale (40% size) Lilium Jet model, including working engines and flap actuators, at the German-Dutch Wind Tunnels (DNW) facility in Marknesse, Netherlands.

The testing will provide Lilium with a comprehensive aerodynamic dataset to validate its flight physics and performance predictions, covering the complete aircraft flight envelope from hover to cruise.

The scale model allows test data to be generated that is representative of the full-scale aircraft in all phases of flight.

Alastair McIntosh, Chief Technology Officer at Lilium stated: “This is an important step in our aircraft program and it is very exciting to see this large-scale Lilium Jet model with working engines and wing flaps. We look forward to generating vast amounts of aerodynamics data on the aircraft and building further confidence in our design tools as we prepare for the start of final assembly later this year.”

Founded in 2015, Lilium has an 800+ member team including approximately 450 aerospace engineers and a leadership team responsible for delivering some of the most successful aircraft in aviation history.

Shares of Lilium trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol LILM. For more information visit
